“Ice Cream Dream” is the first of an experimental abstract style I discovered using Absorbent Ground medium, Dr PH Martins Concentrate Watercolors and palette knives. It is also the perfect execution of stopping a painting at just the right time. Sometimes paintings can take hold immediately and at that moment it is very hard to stop painting and accept its existence into the world. I am so glad I was able to allow this one to exist. It is truly one of a kind!

Cascade Country is my abstract geometric chromadepth 3D painting inspired by all the waterfalls of the Pacific Northwest. It is currently hanging in my studio, but it is still looking for its forever home.

This very large canvas was some of the most fun I have ever had painting. I named it "Jazz Wilderness" because this wild painting of nature was very much improvised and spontaneous. The main reason it has not sold yet is because it doesn't fit in my car so I am never able to put it in my art shows. Ostera was created in the Spring of 2018 and was the first piece I finished in my new Seattle studio at the time. This piece is about renewal and rebirth. I had a lot of fun creating and destroying layers and playing with goopy absorbent ground medium, watercolor concentrate and palette knives. This is one of my boldest paintings with thick fat lines and bright colors…if there is a space in need of livening up, Ostera is here to party!

Eric Dolphy is a tribute to one of the greatest Jazz musicians that ever lived. He surpassed his masters quickly and became his own voice and had his life not been cut so tragically short, there would have been so much more amazing directions in modern music.
